The free seminar includes keynote presentations and community resources to support family members who are caring for a senior adult. Registration for the Williamson County Caregiver Conference is free, and includes all presentations, resources, and lunch. Participants must pre-register by visiting http://tinyurl.com/wilco2014. This year’s conference features a keynote seminar by Andrew B. Crocker, M.S., speaking on “Coping with Stress in Caregiving.” As the Extension Program Specialist III in Gerontology and Health for Texas A&M - Amarillo, Crocker works to support education and outreach regarding the health and well-being of the aging population in Texas. He is a sought-after conference speaker and the author of a six-lesson series to help older adults improve their memories through memory strategies, proper nutrition, and medication management.
FREE older adult respite will also be available at the AGE of Central Texas’ Round Rock Adult Day Health Center, located at 475 Round Rock West Drive, #120. Requests for respite care can be made through the online registration or by calling 512-451-4611 before Wednesday, October 15th.
