Brookdale Complimentary Virtual CEU: Characterizing Dementia Caregiving Styles to Improve Outcomes and Intervention Strategies

Brookdale
Join Brookdale Senior Living for a complimentary CEU course on Thursday, February 16.
When it comes to dementia care, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. It’s important to be well-versed in various caregiving styles and to know which approach will yield the best results for you and the person in your care. In this session, participants will learn the tenets of each approach, the outcomes yielded by each approach, and how to discern when different intervention methods are most appropriate. Be sure to attend this seminar if you are interested in learning new tools to help make your dementia care experience smoother than ever.
Following this presentation, the participant will be able to:
- Identify distinct caregiving styles and their component dimensions.
- Identify how caregivers’ cognitive-behavioral approaches to care impact care outcomes.
- Recognize different intervention methods healthcare professionals may take with caregivers based on their care style.
CE Credits are good for nurses, social workers and case managers. Those not seeking CE credit are also welcome to attend.
Registration is required.
