Learn how to cultivate awareness in the present moment and direct attention purposefully in order to reduce stress and enjoy life more on July 12-15.
During the Mindfulness Bootcamp you will learn about mindfulness and how to develop your own personal practice. You will learn simple tools and techniques to experience mindfulness in action and reduce your stress level tremendously!
The course is held over four days, with one, 60-minute session each day. See below for the event schedule.
Monday, July 12: Introduction to Mindfulness
- Define mindfulness and its relationship to kindness and compassion
- Experience mindfulness in action and the power of being in the present moment
Tuesday, July 13: Be Right Where You Are
- Rehashing, rehearsing
- How to stay with our present-moment experience
Wednesday, July 14: Our Storytelling Minds
- The body's stress response
- How to notice thoughts and observe them without reacting
Thursday, July 15: Cultivating Kindness
- Loving kindness as a concept and as a practice
- How to cultivate a more friendly stance towards self and other.
