How Many Apps/Tools Do You Use to Stay Organized While Working Remotely?
Can you believe it's already been one year since initially assembling our remote offices?
During this time, we've established what works, what doesn't work and everything in between.
If you haven't already, take time to reflect on your productivity and prioritization skills from this past year. Staying organized and prioritized can be a struggle when working remotely, but luckily there are ways to enhance our daily habits such as incorporating apps and tools.
We asked our network how many apps/tools do you use to stay organized while working remotely?
Respondents were able to choose from the following:
- 1-5
- 6-10
- 11+
Through our results, we found that 85% of respondents use 1-5 apps/tools to keep all their ducks in a row.
Everyone's organization methods are different. Which way of staying on track sounds like you?
- I have dozens of sticky notes and/or notepads full of bullet points on my desk.
- I have a never-ending document (i.e. in Google docs/Microsoft Word) full of my to-dos.
- I have a mental list with all the tasks I need to accomplish.
- I have to stay organized?
Finding and then honing into your favorite organization technique(s) is essential to helping you stay productive from home.
Some of our team's favorite apps and tools to stay organized are Asana (a project managing app that focuses on organizing tasks), Hourstack (a project managing app that focuses on time allocation and prioritization), Slack (a communication app where you and your team can interact and collaborate seamlessly), digital sticky notes, Microsoft Word documents and good ol' pen and paper.
Whether your favorite organization tools are tangible or virtual, once you find a combination that works for you, your productivity will be set for success.
