AGE of Central Texas
It was a big day for AGE of Central Texas when they officially broke ground for their newest facility in South Austin on June 7, 2022.
"Our new facility is expected to double the number of people AGE is able to serve each year and will offer immediate relief for older adults and family caregivers throughout South Austin and the surrounding areas,” shared AGE’s Chief Executive Officer Suzanne Anderson.
Slated for completion in 2023, the 20,000-square-foot South Austin Thrive & Wellness Center will house each of AGE’s six community programs, a resource lobby, activity room, and co-working space. It will provide programming and support for seniors and family caregivers, including a state-of-the-art, non-residential adult day health center for individuals living with memory loss or dementia.
This entire project would not be possible without the generous and compassionate contributions given by community members. AGE’s Chief Development Officer Jayden Beatty noted, “thanks to them, thousands of older adults and family caregivers will get the help they need.”
