“The Caregiver Playbook” - AGE of Central Texas caregiving experts
AGE of Central Texas celebrated their second year of hosting the "Caregiver Training Camp" Conference designed to help first-time, unpaid family members effectively care for an older adult.
Held on March 30-April 2, 2021, this year's virtual conference surpassed last year's attendance with over 250 attendees from across Texas! The virtual layout with different sessions across multiple days made it easier for caregivers to weave in this fantastic conference into their work/caregiving schedule.
Presentations from regional professionals included:
- "I’m a Caregiver, Now What?!” - Lori Hill, CaregiverU program associate
- “Tackling Medical Issues” - Lina Supnet-Zapata, executive director/managing partner for MIR Care Consultants, Inc.
- “Preventing Falls and Caregiver Safety” - Dr. Amy Walters, assistant professor and doctor of physical therapy program at University of St. Augustine
