Interfaith of The Woodlands
On Saturday, November 6, 2021, Interfaith of The Woodlands, in conjunction with CarePartners, presented the Fall 2021 Caregivers Conference.
Hosted by Christ Church United Methodist, the annual conference included free skill-building and informative workshops for family members caring for a loved one, including children with special needs.
The four-and-a-half-hour workshop highlighted detailed information helpful to many caregivers: Legal Documents Everyone Should Have In Place, Effective Communication Strategies for Those with Dementia, and Understanding Medicare – Benefit Basics and Information. This information helped caregivers navigate the abundant daily challenges of caring for a loved one.
Sessions were graciously delivered by Jan Pickett, John Dantche and Susan Bulgawicz, attorneys at law, the Alzheimer’s Association – Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter, and Mallory Freitag and Benjamina Covarrubias, benefits counselors with Houston-Galveston Area Council.
