The Houston OCD Program/Clinic Presents “Worrying” with Board Certified Behavioral Therapist Christen Sistrunk, M.A. on Wednesday, September 16 at Thomas A. Glazier Senior Education Center.
Worrying is feeling uneasy or being overly concerned about a situation or problem. With excessive worrying, your mind and body go into overdrive as you constantly focus on "what might happen."
When worrying becomes excessive, it can lead to feelings of high anxiety and even cause you to be physically ill. It can sap your emotional energy and interfere with your daily life, but chronic worrying is a mental habit that can be broken. Learn to break the habit and train your brain to stay calm and look at life from a more positive perspective.
This class is free to Harris County residents aged 55 plus.
