In-Person Events
In-person events, we miss you!
Staying safe throughout this pandemic is the number one priority for everyone. If that means pausing in-person events, so be it. But who says we can't daydream about the day we'll be able to meet normally again?
We asked our audience of eldercare professionals how much do you miss in-person events?
Respondents were able to choose from the following:
- So much, counting the days 'til we can meet in person
- Meh, kind of enjoying our “new normal”
- Not at all, keep the virtual events coming
Through our results, 68% of respondents are counting the days 'til we can meet in person while 21% are kind of enjoying our "new normal."
Zoom and GoToWebinar have been lifesavers the past few months for those looking for an alternative way to host events. Without video chat platforms, who knows what the landscape of events would look like?
However, we need that physical interaction. Luckily, there are still ways to have in-person events during this "new normal." You just have to hone into the right side of your brain to get the creativity flowing!
Here are some in-person event ideas for eldercare professionals to host during this time of social distancing:
- Host a themed goodie bag pick-up! Contact eldercare marketers beforehand to accumulate marketing materials and business cards to be included in the bags. This minimizes contact while still getting in front of potential clients.
- Host a tailgating event! Have professionals from around your city pull up in your company's parking lot tailgate-style. You can interact and network like old times while social distancing from your own vehicles.
- Host a networking picnic CEU! Have everyone bring their own food, drinks and blanket, and lay them out six feet apart. The fresh air and social interaction will be good for everyone.
When planning and attending in-person events, don't forget to wear your masks, social distance and use hand sanitizer!
Whatever creative and innovative events you come up with, we'd love to include them on our calendar! Submit your event at least two weeks prior to ensure that it will be live on our calendar before our weekly B2B e-newsletter is sent out the week of your event. Additionally, the longer your event is up on our calendar, the greater likelihood of your event being seen and having more attendees.
