The American Heart Association’s Houston Heart Ball led by chairmen Cathy and Joe Cleary hosted an unforgettable evening on Saturday, February 3, 2018 for an exceptional cause—fighting heart disease and stroke.
Guests donned their favorite jewels, ball gowns and festive frills for a spectacular evening produced by Ward & Ames at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The event theme, “The Beat Goes On, the Need Goes On,” shined with a special appearance from the University of Houston Drumline as emcee David Paul, chief meteorologist for KHOU 11, took the stage.
Guests enjoyed a decadent dinner; live auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime items including an evening of fun and culinary delights for 24 guests in the home of Houston restaurateur Johnny Carrabba with special guest GRAMMY Award Winner Steve Tyrell; inaugural wine auction featuring a wide variety of superb vintages and wineries; and dancing to Party on the Moon.
Sponsored by Harvey Builders, the 35th anniversary Heart Ball was an incredible evening of fundraising—early reports show nearly $3 million was raised and several additional gifts are expected in coming weeks.
